Federal Level Changes

Greetings--

The Feds-- specifically the agencies that run the National Parks/Forests and the Army Corps of Engineers need to get up to date with their firearms policies. I realise that many of these policies are embedded in the CFR so are not agency-generated policies.

Its ridiculous to be able to legally carry while driving to a Corps managed park, but once on the property (including the water), illegal to even possess a firearm (loaded, unloaded or carried) or even ammo. Many of these Corps' managed areas are remote, unmonitored parks/lakes. *sigh* concealed means concealed, eh ?

Similar situations are in the National Parks-- no firearms allowed.

I understand that Fed properties so Fed laws apply. IMO, the Fed regulations need to be modified to allow firearm posession and carrying by licenced individuals, per the location's State regulations.

Can someone generate and post a list of firearm-friendly Federal legislators ?

The Virginia Citizens Defense League is petitioning for a National Park rule change. Can you imagine how tough they've got it, with national parks, monuments, and NPS-protected sites practically on every corner?

You can view their efforts at their website, http://vcdl.org/
