The NRA and TSRA have it as a goal for 2007. Please look at older messages in the "Goals for 2007" section.

Not to put too fine a point on it, contributions to the TSRA are welcome. Please see http://www.tsra.com/. Donations, calls and letters to representatives, and your vote are the only ways to make change happen.

You might find this interesting, from the Austin American Statesman today. The author seems to think "stand your ground" is a certainty for Texas. I'm not sure I'm satisfied with the parameters., but advances are advances.

Wow! Its hard to believe the Austin American-Statesman has taken a pro attitude towards the Stand Your Ground Law. :headscratch Typically, that paper leans to the left.

Yep, me too. I get a little leary of anonymous editorials as a rule, also. But since it says "editorial board", i'm not sure where they are going with it. Except to say Terry Keel was against parts of what i would consider a thorough "stand you ground" proposal.
