What would I like to see for 2005?
Topic says it all. (That, and being able to spell. :x )

Cut the vague lawyer bull language.
Not just with reguards to traveling, but with all of the firearms legislation.

Oh well, we can dream.

I highly agree. I've read that this 'usually' means you have to be going across at least two counties on a non-routine trip, but that's way too vague and subjective. It definitely needs to be more concrete.

The language was vague on purpose.

That way white people were always traveling and black people never were.



I am not a racest but these laws were when they were enacted.

The vagueness of the travelling exemption was one of the better arguments on our side while trying to pass CHL.

Regardless of the definition we get, you still have to prove that you're meeting it. That gets much more difficult if you get caught in Austin or Houston.

My advice for travelers is get a CHL and relax.

And yes, I know that isn't much good for folks from out of state.
