HB560 - Hunting blinds, feeders, etc. - Not directly CHL

Rep. Sid Miller filed HB560, another bill that deals with placement of hunting blinds, traps, and wildlife feeders. It requires them to be placed at least 200 feet from the property line, unless you have written permission from the adjacent property owner.

This is similar to HB185 filed by Rep. Scott Campbell which was discussed in an earlier post.

I'm not sure what "problem" this bill intends to address, but I fear it could create some problems of its own.

Pardon my ignorance but, if something like this would become law, how would you enforce something like this? If I am reading it correctly it sounds as if it would apply to private property.

Also a hunter ed. instuctor here. Altho I don't know the specifics, I suspect this stems from disputes primarily over locationns of deer feeders It seems there is often much competion to keep the creatures on one's own land. Some hunters spend phenominal amounts of time and money to convince deer that "my-corn-is-better-than-his-corn".
