Free home phone service for one year

I recently came across this ad and signed up for it. I got a new local phone number for free, a softphone app for windows, Android and the iPhone are available at no cost as well. I tested Windows and Android and it works. Yesterday I received that free Polycom phone they advertised, it works too and voice quality is better than I thought.

P.S.: Should you sign up don't throw the box away and don't delete the e-mail you receive. Just in case :-)

I use Magic Jack for home.

Still pleased with the service after using it over two years.

Paying $33 per year for a home phone number beats the heck out what I used to pay Vonage and way better than the $45 a month that ATT used to charge me 7-8 years ago.

The phone service I mentioned is in use now for one week without flaws. They shipped me a Polycom IP335 for free and a one year, free and no contract subscription is for free as well. The phone firmware has a G.722 (HD) codec built in nd works great.

So, what's it going to cost on month 13?

About $20 but no contract and you can cancel it. Keep the box of the phone in case you order it.

I'm using a free VOIP line for almost two years but it's good to see VOIP becoming more plug and play.

I have Google voice too. The cheapest way to place international calls. I just wish they'd have a way to register a SIP client.

I received my first invoice for the free service. Audio quality is excellent and the Polycom phone they shipped works flawless.
