how long for online status to change?

I mailed my stuff in last week using certifeid mail, yesterday (wednesday) i got my signed reciept vis usps. I checked the status and it still says the same thing it said before i mailed my stuff in. Just wondering if this is normal or should it have changed by now?

[youtube][/youtube]The first "status" change update is painfully show, on the long end of 3 weeks. You will be fine.
Go to the "waiting room" area of the message boards and you can see typical timelines for most folks....including mine

It'll be four weeks today for me and still no change. They haven't answered my web form inquiry, either.

I sent mine in on Dec. 21 and still no status change. I'm guessing between the Holidays and a probable increase in people applying it might take a little longer.

Anything mailed after mid-December will not show up on website yet

Sent mine in Jan 3rd, and it just updated today. Now we wait for the background checks and all that xD

Submitted all my paperwork for an original CHL on January 5th, my status updated this morning, January 28th.

What does yours show for the finger prints? Mine says Under Review.

Same. I don't understand that. They sent a letter (starting this) saying I didn't need to send my fingerprints for the renewal. Frankly the process is byzantinely lacking of common sense.
Since they have our picture and id from the last driver's license renewal, frankly once the money clears everything should occur automatically within seconds. The CHL instructor could upload test results, and everything go straight to printing.
