Seventh Circuit Rules That, Under Supreme Court Precedent, the Second Amendment Is Not Incorporated Against the States:

The case is [1]NRA v. City of Chicago, the challenge to the Chicago
handgun ban.

Can Lethal Self-Defense, Even Against Threats of Death, Serious Bodily Injury, Rape, and Kidnapping, Be Made a Crime?
(also from Seventh Circuit decision)

"An obligation to avoid lethal force in self-defense might imply an
obligation to use pepper spray rather than handguns. A modification
of the self-defense defense may or may not be in the best interest
of public safety -- whether guns deter or facilitate crime is an
empirical question -- but it is difficult to argue that legislative
evaluation of which weapons are appropriate for use in self-defense
has been out of the people?hands since 1868."

No need to delete it; can be discussed here too if someone wants to. There was someone else posting also at exactly the same time you did, so that made three threads. You got to be quick on this forum!! ;-)

Yup, I"m on Volokh as much as I'm here. The only bad thing is that it makes me want to go to law school.

I look at it as it is referenced so much on this website. Sometimes I even understand it. It looks almost like some sort of legal peer review to me.

It's a group of Constitutional legal scholars. They are well respected in that field.
Volokh is a Libertarian, but some of the others are of a different political bent.

Sounds to me like some judges are trying to incorporate international law into our everyday existance, never mind our Constitution and BOR's...

The British have implemented this whole idea about "how dare you defend yourself!"...

This is so dangerous, it's not even funny...
