He was on TV promoting the "RepealItNow.Org" website. On it you sign a petition requesting that your Congressperson work towards repeal of the Health Care Act.
I signed.

One of a multitude of blatantly unconstitutional laws.

A Repeal would send an extremely serious message to our lawmakers. At least I hope it would...I guess I am optimistic.

When 26 states are suing the federal government over it, it's probably a sign the Fed overstepped their limits:

The news said it was coming up for a vote in the House today but I can't find the results. Did they delay it? I know there's almost no chance of it passing the Senate, but that's more ammunition against them in 2012.

I don't have the numbers for the tally, but the vote to Repeal passed. I think hubby said that three Dems joined all the Republicans in support.

As for the "no chance in the Senate" - maybe, maybe not. If it can be forced to come up for a vote, and there are ways to accomplish that if the Republicans want to use them, then at very least the Dems go on record as being opposed. And those what want to get re-elected might have to think seriously about opposing it. Don't count the issue as over until all the votes are counted. Besides, until defeat is actually accepted and "the loser" gives up and goes home, there's always a chance that things will change.

According to the latest e-mail that I have from the Huckabee Camp, they seem to be convinced that they can pull off some stunt where the Senate looks at it too, despite what the Dems say.

Boy, I sure hope that you are right. I'd love to see Senators have to take sides on the matter. It sure could help the 2012 elections.

I haven't figured out why the GOP isn't using this whole Senate thing to their advantage. If it is such a good law, why won't those who support it stand up for it? I've only heard that message once. To me, it is a major missed opportunity.
