If memory serves me correct newt's indiscretions were at the same time of Clintons impeachment proceedings where he was pushing harder than anyone, so while Democrats may have redefined scandalous the Republicans have redefined hypocrisy and continue to do so(i.e. pro-lifers who support the death penalty etc etc etc)Rex B wrote:That was long ago, before Clinton and Team and set the bar much lower.Dave2 wrote:Bummer?

I take issue with this. There is no hypocrisy in being pro-life and pro-death penalty. Let me see if I can explain the difference to you.
Pro-life: Believing that an innocent, unborn child should not be summarily executed.
Pro-death penalty: Believing that people who have murdered others should be prevented from ever doing so again.
Both are preserving the lives of INNOCENT people.

Not to mention the fact that Newt didn't perjure himself nor was he the POTUS. Not that I'm defending his own indiscretions mind you.
