FBI says they have run over 2 million background checks for gun purchasers in Kentucky so far in 2015.
That is more than Texas and California combined.

There's a lot of coal mining in Kentucky. Maybe they're getting ready for something.

Horse race raising, bourbon making and tobacco growing.

I lived in Kentucky once and found it wonderful.

Supposedly Kentucky runs NCIS checks on all license holders, every month.

Also, during March of this year the CA system had a technical glitch that made the same NCIS check submit multiple times.

This would greatly skew their numbers.
