My Wait Begins

#1

Post by sweetmelissa »

Good Morning and hello!

My wait has begun, I got my fingerprints done and sent in yesterday. I also sent the supporting documents yesterday. I wish I had known that I could send everything but my fingerprints when I initially did the application.

According to the CHL Q & A, the wait is about 60 days. I hope it's not. I will be watching this board to see what kind of time frame y'all have been seeing.

Have a great day!

Welcome! Lots of great folks and info on this forum.

I think the timeline is running faster than that 60 days for most right now. Lots of folks seem to be getting plastic in 3 weeks or so these days.

Thanks!

I received this in an email this morning "We have received CHL supporting documents attached to your recent email. Please allow up to six weeks for processing."

Maybe I'll get lucky. Three weeks would be wonderful.

We're pretty much on the same time line. Did prints today, but had already submitted my paperwork and got the confirmation. Hopefully it'll be closer to the 3 week Mark than the 60 for us.

From the date I did my prints, I got plastic in my hand in 13 business days.

Got mine in 3 weeks. Like a kid on Christmas everyday at the mailbox waiting for it.

It will be a week tomorrow.

When I log into the website I still see:

"CHL APPLICATION STATUS: If you have a pending CHL application, please allow sufficient time for processing. If you have not already done so, please submit all of the items listed on the checklist you received. DPS will notify you by mail if further information or additional documents are required.

Start Application
Select the application you would like to complete at this time."

Patience, Grasshopper.

FYI, there are a lot of folks getting plastic before the website status changes these days. It may not be the best gauge of progress.

I have the same problem. Seems like it took forever for mine to come in when it was only about 3 weeks.

I'm actually kinda happy that the DPS isn't changing the status, it keeps me from wanting to check 5 times a days.:

Greenbeer - I know it's too early, but I still check the website every morning. Only once a day, though. Hopefully soon for both of us :thumbs2:
