Time line

6-3-15 filled out application
6-5-15 finger prints
6-26-15 Class completed/submitted all docs online
6-29-15 all docs received
7-22-15 letter mailed stating my application has been sent to the medical advisory board.
7-27-15 status still isn't avaliable online. Called and was informed it could take an additional 60 days once I receive the packet from the Medical board and return it.
10-16-2015 denial sent by maul
10-18-2015 appeal filed with the state
11-29-2015 court date set up in my residing county.
1-12-2015 court date brought all test performed by a licensed psychiatrist with his written statement that I show no elevations in any area that would make him think I can't exercise sound judgment. The judge sided with me.

2-3-2016 plastic received!

Moral of the story. Fight for your rights granted by the constitution! It took me nearly 8 months so don't give up hope.

Congratulations. Reminds me when I got mine in 1997. I think the wait was about four months and at that time you could not check status on line or call. You just had to wait.

Congratulations and be safe!

Greg, congratulations! I have similar issues that I fear I am going to face. Facing redeployment and loosing my fiancé I got depressed and sought help, little did I know that by doing that might make me "unfit" as seen by the state. This was back in 2001 when I was 21. I think it is crazy as I have not been diagnosed with depression of "bi-polar" since. No treatment or meds needed since then and I have been completely normal. I sent you a message.
