I submitted an app to change my name on an existing LTC (which was a CHL when I initially got it) a few weeks ago. Probably not time to start worrying yet.
How long do they usually take though? I don't think I'd have to go through the full background check again?
I'm getting married next year and I'm seriously thinking of just keeping my last name to not go through this mess again. It's been such a hassle changing everything.

I doubt you would have to go through another background check, but they might require that you send additional documents that support that you did in fact change your name. As far as a timeline goes I would contact RSD.

I had actually sent those documents (court judgment) with the application. I don't think they should need anything else. My DL has already been updated.
