My kidney transplant

Whether the need is great or small, there is power in prayer, especially when God's people raise their voices together.

That is great news. I just donated my kidney to my Mom on December 17th. We were both out of the hospital a couple days later and doing great. The first two months were difficult for her as she had to keep up with all the blood work appointments. Once they got her concoction of meds right, they slowly moved her to fewer and fewer appointments. Mom noticed an immediate improvement in energy levels while for me, it has taken some time for my kidney to grow and handle the job of two. I was back a work a couple weeks later on light duty.

That is the best gift that you could give her. I hope that both of you continue to have good health. :tiphat:

Congrats on the new lease of this fragile thing we call life!! Thoughts and prayers your way for a speedy recovery!!

I was in Chicago a few weeks ago at a business event and ran into an associate I had not seen for awhile. Asked him how he was doing and he gave me the honest answer: "After the transplants (yes, plural - spleen, kidney and heart!!!) I'm doing great!!!!"

Wow, I was floored...he seemed the picture of health, in his 30's but his Type 1 Diabetes had ravaged his body over the years. Chatted with him in-depth for awhile...diabetes is now gone and he's on his way to recovery!! When you think you know a person, you really don't, glad I spent some time with him. :tiphat:
