Suicide Prevention Walk

Whether the need is great or small, there is power in prayer, especially when God's people raise their voices together.

Suicide Prevention Walk

#1

Post by Dan20703 »

To all my TXCHL friends: Some of you know the tragedy I've had to endure over the loss of my daughter last year. What you may not know is that she took her own life. She was an honor student, not involved in drugs, and loved by many because of her kind and sharing personality. I don't know what drove her to her actions but I hope and pray it never happens to anyone I know.

Because of what happened I am joining the walk for suicide prevention here in the Houston Area. I normally never ask for anything but below is my page link. If you can donate something I would be very appreciative. If not then please say a prayer for those in need of help.

Thank You

Done. I had no idea that's how your daughter passed. I am so, so sorry.

I am not sure how I missed this.

I am so sorry about your daughter. That is something that God has to more out His grace in order to get through.

I am sorry for your loss. No one can truly know how you feel or went through. 26 years ago my best friend took his own life and to this day I can not fully understand why. I can only hope he has found peace.

My beautiful, younger sister, age 24, killed herself in 1974 after her husband was killed on their motorcycle. Suicide is definitely one of life's mysteries.

Best wishes!

My prayers too. I do not know of any family that has never been touched by this tragedy.

Dan:
I saw your Facebook post and it reminded me of this thread that I had missed. If the suicide prevention walk is an annual event, then please post something on the Forum as we start getting closer to the date.
