You can locate most ranges in the U.S. at http://www.wheretoshoot.org/wts_search.asp.

The NRA courses in handgun, rifle, and shotgun (3 separate courses) are the most common standardized firearms instruction. These courses are taught by private individuals or ranges according to standards set by the NRA.

You may be able to locate an instructor at http://www.nrahq.org/education/training ... aining.asp.

The prices are set by instructors and are in the $100-300 range, or maybe more at indoor ranges in cities.

Some instructors chose to teach their own methods, even if they are certified NRA or Texas CHL instructors. IMHO, there's nothing in herently wrong with that.
