Switch to a non resident license?

Post by john L »

I am currently waiting for my license to be issued by the state of Texas and have a question that maybe one of you can answer for me. We have our house up for sale here in Texas and are looking to move up to our house we have in Arkansas; when this does happen, will I be able to do a change of address to my Arkansas address and keep the Texas license as a non resident?

I sent in my Florida non resident license application at the same time as the Texas application; Florida will not be a problem and a change of address will not void that license. The state of Arkansas honors both Florida and Texas, so I should be ok as long as the Texas license can be kept with the new change of address to Arkansas.

Yes. When you change your address, you license will become a non-resident license, but it will still be valid.

Thanks Crossfire, that's how I thought it worked, but didn't want to leave any loose ends on these licenses, with all the flaming hoops I've had to jump through to get them.
