Concealed Carry Magazine?

Post by wgoforth »

On Tom Greshems "Gun Talk" on Sunday, they had a lady named Kathy Jackson who was editor for Concealed Carry Magazine. They made it sound very interesting. I find it odd I had never heard of it, though its been out for 6 years. Anyone familiar with it? Worth subscribing to?
Thanks

There was a thread about Concealed Carry Magazine some time ago, but I can't find it. I remember because I posted a comment about it.

If you join Concealed Carry Association you get the magazine. I don't have the official address, but you should be able to Google it pretty easily.
I've been getting it for about 3 - 4 years, and like it a lot. There is usually a good variety of subects in any one issue. As an NRA Instructor, I've gotten a good amount of class material out of it.

I clicked the link and the popup looked like an infomercial.

What can I say? What ISN'T an infomercial nowadays? I have found a lot to like there. Obviously a lot of payola going on for product placement, but also lots of good grassroots stuff. If you like grass roots. Look at the forum:

My best recommendation is that they don't like me.

Over the years I found that things worth my time and money rarely if ever need to use infomercial sales tactics. Conversely, if the pitch reminds me of a get rich quick scheme, I'm almost never satisfied with the product or service.

You mileage may vary.

I am a member in USCCA, I paid year 2008-2009 a $47 membership and you get the magazine. It is not issued each month. You get access to members only forum. There is a pitches sales and good FREE for all newsletter. Get the free newsletter.
For 2009-2010 I wanted to drop, however someone jumped in and paid my membership! :biggrinjester:

By the way, does one have to get a CCM (Concealed Carry Magazine)
from DPS in order to read that publication outside of your home or
a vehicle which you control? :-)

Oh one more thing, on the forum of USCCA, so many right-wing and religious nuts are there. The type of the world will end soon and the US will collapse into chaos, marial law will be imposed, etc. Please do not forget that some preach the current admin wants to destroy US as we know it.

On the other hand, a lot of people will help the new to concealed carry to show them the ropes.

HHuuummm, I confess w/o shame that I resemble that remark. Coming from you I consider being called a Right Wing Religious nut, who preaches that the current emporer wants to destroy this country as we know it, is something of a compliment & am thankful my posts show it to an anti Right Wing Religion world.
I am most certainly the decendant of the 1774, Patriot, :fire Right Wing Religious nuts, who founded this country on Judeo Christian principles. Those founding, Right Wing Religious Nuts, who were well to do in that day owned & read a 1611 KJV Bible. That is the reason SOOO many Biblical principles & verses in that translation are chisseled in the marble & rock walls of the old govt buildings.
Thank you again for the the compliment.

Now back to the original topic.
Very Conservative Mag. The owner is somewhat animated & very passionate about the issues of today. I have never read or heard him say on tape that he is a Christian, Right Wing Religious Nut, but reading what he writes, I do think I can call him a "brother in the battle."
Especially for young, new to CC person, I think it a good resourse. I have read on line many of the articles & they are well written & good subject matter.
My 02cents & some above think it worth about half that.

If you join Concealed Carry Association you get the magazine
For the price, you think they'd also throw in a cheap plastic CHL badge. :woohoo

they do not like any badges. However, they will email you, Free of Charge, a small business card sized card that reads "a statement to LEO" that you are effectively lawyering up after you use your CC Weapon.
