Navy Federal in Fort Worth has a gunbuster but no 30.06 posting. I carry there every other friday

EXTRACO bank in Temple has a valid 30.06 posted inside the entrance on the right-side wall. I would assume that the rest of their locations are also posted but haven't been in any yet to verify this.

My bank does NOT allow UNLICENSED people to carry Beretta or Taurus pistols, but if you have a CHL, carry whatever you like at my bank ...They have this sign, but no 30.06 sign

TEXANS Credit Unions are NOT posted. At least all of the ones I've been to.

My credit union has been 30.06 posted for years, and now they've published a policy that no one will be allowed to enter the premises while wearing sunglasses or any type of hat or cap. So there ya go.

What is it with credit unions? Banks don't bother posting signs that say "it is illegal to hold up this bank."

My CU in Dallas has a "Unlicensed possession of firearm..." sign and next to that a "The FBI investigates all crimes on these premises..." sign.
It looks scary, but I am legal.

ETA Looking back through this thread it made me wonder what happened to Joe817?

I work in a bank. I find it really funny that most people assume that you can't carry there. You can carry at banks if they are not 30.06 posted. MOST people think it is restricted to carry in a bank including a large number of people who work in the banks.

If they are not 30.06 posted, carry and be quiet.

A bank is just another retail establishment that can either post 30.06 or not. In my experience, banks in questionable neighborhoods post gunbuster signs, but very few post 30.06. Almost all of my banks have no posting at all.

My bank is not posted and I'm always armed when I go in. The Manager usually waves and asks, "Hey Bob, how're you doing"? I wave back and say, "my name ain't Bob".

American Airlines employee credit union isn't posted 30.06 but they are located in the same buildings that American airlines and American Eagle operate out of and it's against company policy for employees to carry on company property so they got me there :banghead: :banghead:
It is easier to get an airport security clearance than a CHL

Does the site get users from other states? Some states do prohibit bank carry.

Good point!

AFAIK, our beloved 30.06 sign is unique to Texas. In other states any old "gunbuster" sign will do while in other states no sign is required because, "you're supposed to know better". IOW, "When in Rome, do as the Romans do, etc. etc." :grumble
