scared

Post by alvins »

so this guy was parked in my way and i asked him to move so i could get my car in.he said i was being an Edited for profanity. Read the rules again sir.
so long story short he called the cops saying i pulled out a gun and pointed it in the air as i was walking away.

the police questioned me and put me in cuffs in the car for a good hour while they figured everything out.they never said i was under arrest or anything.

I was released and no tickets or nothing.

My question is does this show up on my record or anything else? yea i have a chl and the cop gave me a long talk before he released me.

you were detained, there is no arrest, so no record to worry about.
Were you carrying at the time?
How would the person complaining know that, or was it a lucky guess when he said "he pulled a gun on me"?

If it's well written and to the point , you could probably knock it out in 2 or 3 paragraphs. I would love to hear more details of what actually transpired. There are two sides to every story, but we only have a few generic sentences to go by.

Also, as Teamless correctly pointed out...you were detained and questioned, you were not arrested, you're good to go.

There's usually a lot of activity here on Sunday evenings/nights.

I've considered Duracoating my carry guns yellow just in case of a situation like this.

How's about painting an orange tip on the barrel/slide :biggrinjester:

OP, there is no accounting for jerks. The cops seem like they did their job albeit over a seemingly longer time than may have been absolutely necessary. Were you in your apartment when they showed up? Was the guy still there?

With a good title like "Scared" EVERYONE on here will eventually read it.
But once the question is asked and answered, most people won't respond just to reiterate the answer.

Also, if I see the same thread up again, I like to read what others respond, so 92 could be 40 people or 30 or whatever.

Uh-huh.

I haven't seen many folks who are high tailing it away from an impending fight pull out their wallets on the way.

I think Carry-a-Kimber is on the right track.

From the very small amount of info here, it sounds to me like the investigating officers had a pretty good idea of what went down, but couldn't quite put enough credible testimony together to satisfy a prosecutor that it wasn't a wallet.

It's noteworthy that most folks don't post to accumulate views or remark on the entertainment value of their posts, but the OP does.

JayCee or just a kindred spirit?
