We went to see horse races in Grand Prarie last Saturday. It was the first time for us. I was not sure what was what on concealed cary so I didn't carry going in. I could not find a 30:06 sign. I did read some rambling about not carrying guns in real small letters at the ticket booth, but did not have enough time to read it all before being rushed through. There are no metal detectors.
I didn't carry because I thought they fell under the "professional sporting events" laws. What is what with carrying there?

You cannot carry at a racetrack, defined as being where horse or dog racing takes place.

Correct and carrying at the racetrack is illegal even when betting and races are not taking place. Like a school building, it's a prohibited place 24x7. MPA covers you while in your vehicle.
