N. Dallas / Plano Renewal Class?

#1

Post by Pug »

Just wondering if there is an instructor on the forum with classes nearby? I've got to renew sometime in the next 60 days and, before signing up with someone else, wanted to check the forum.

Not Dallas, or Plano, but come to Cabela's in Ft Worth, and we can get you renewed tomorrow!

1:00 PM, $70, practically painless.

When it is time for my renewal next year, I would love to come out to your class Crossfire. Without an onsite range, how do you do the shooting portion?

I answered your PM, but for the record, we have access to a private range, just across the highway from Cabela's.

When I did mine it was off Coit and Frankford about a mile south of the Bush in a 10-12 story bank building.
We then went to the Garland public range for the shooting portion.
Russell was very friendly and the class was a breeze.

I'm curious if there are any updates or new info on this topic. My CHL expires in March, and I'm eager to get a head start on the renewal.

Cabela's in Ft. Worth is an hour drive (each way) from my house in Plano, so that's a downer. I did my initial class at Bullet Trap, but they only offer renewals on Sunday mornings while I'm in church.

Does anyone have any info or experience taking classes at the new Cabela's in Allen? They have several classes listed on their schedule, but I don't know anything about their instructors.

I am running a class Sat the 29th starting at 8am, you don't have to show until 12 noon, but as I tell all my renewals I would prefer you be there all day. $40. You can check out my site http://www.chldefense.com or find me on face book http://www.facebook.com/chldefense. I worked for the cabelas in allen when they first opened(NICS counter) and still I have many friends that work there on the gun side, None of them like the guy who does the classes and have asked me many times for business cards just so they don't have to promote him.
