OC Spray In School?

#1

Post by dihappy »

Can a person legally carry OC spray in school?

My friend is a teacher and she doesnt deny the fact that bad things can happen in school.

She would like to carry some OC spray, but I doubt its legal.

A few weeks ago there was a story on the news about a kid who took his teacher's OC and emptied the canister in the hallway. A few kids got sick, but nobody made any mention of the OC not being allowed on campus. There is no law that says you can't have it, thought it may be against some districts' policies.

I've wondered this myself, but would be afraid to ask, since they would probably say that I can't have it.

The "chemical dispensing device" is the larger size the police use, by definition.
The personal sizes aren't under the same exclusion.
Ø resist

Take away the second first, and the first is gone in a second.

lrb111 is correct:

--------------------------------------------------------

Sec. 46.01. DEFINITIONS. In this chapter:

...

14) "Chemical dispensing device" means a device, other than a small chemical dispenser sold commercially for personal protection, that is designed, made, or adapted for the purpose of dispensing a substance capable of causing an adverse psychological or physiological effect on a human being.
