She took her CHL today and this is her target. I believe it's a 249! She always hated my Glock 26 so we got her a Kahr CM9. After she got comfortable shooting that she asked to shoot the Glock again and now she's in love with it. I guess we'll be heading to Drurys soon for another one! God I love that smile! :clapping:

Considering she had never shot a gun until about 3 months ago I say she did very well.

Mom's got skills.
BTW, did anyone have an issue with the use of the sawed-off version of the B27?

Obviously she didn't! :biggrinjester: There is a LOT of scoring area cut off. If you look at the bottom of hers there are a lot of holes that would have been on target so I'm not sure how they can use these for qualification.

I dont think that is an approved target.
I would not use it.

It's a B27E. It's about 10" shorter than the B27, it's cut off just below the bottom of the 7.

I've had some students who needed the points they got from their gut shots, typically when they tended to shoot low. I wonder how the instructor would handle such a student? :headscratch

I hope they wouln't count the points down on paper of the short target and then assume all the others were in the center. For someone like the OP's wife, that scoring technique is pretty accurate, but not for the ones who need the pelvis shots to make the 70% passing grade.

Yep right down the street. We're looking at moving out to Luling sometime next year.

What I have done is put a full size cardboard B27 on my target stands then use a B27E as a repair center. That way the student can take their target if they want it and there is a full scoring area that can be pasted for the few holes that get in them. I change out the cardboard targets when the center is shot out (about every 10 students.) This way I maximize use of the cardboard and everyone gets to shoot a fresh target. I use this B27 They are from Targets Online and are printed on paper similar to posterpaper. I'll take a pic of one I have set up so you can see how it looks.
