Gun stores that don't allow CHL carry

I found it ironic moving to TX and seeing gun stores with signs saying no concealed carry inside. In liberal California the gun stores I frequented had signs saying LEO's and CHL(ccw there) holders could carry inside.

Pics of signs? Store names? http://www.Texas3006.com is the place to post the details.

I have seen several places that have the "no concealed carry inside" of course it means nothing to the CHL because they also have to have the proper 30.06 wording posted.

I have never seen a true gun store that stated no concealed carry, only a couple of pawn shops with 30.06 signs. I have seen them at gun stores that state 'All weapons entering store must be unloaded and in a case.' However, this does not apply to a CHL as they are to keep their weapons concealed and not take them out in the store.

Merles in Granbury has official 30.06 and he will tell you he wants to be the only one with a loaded gun in the store. He had a customer arrested because he brought in a gun to be repaired (even though he is a gunsmith).

Nope, gun dealers that sit behind 2-way mirrored glass and tell people that "without a CHL you can carry anywhere but with a CHL you can only take it some places, and your an idiot to get one" doesn't need my buisness!

Wow, can't believe a store would bite the hand that feeds them. That's business suicide IMO. :banghead:

And so ol' Merle figures this sign assures him of that does he? Sounds like a bright guy...

Well, he must be independently wealthy as he has (had) a huge inventory but you never see any customers. He is a huge, mountain man looking guy with knives clipped up and down his suspenders. He is a scarey dude.

Along with a 30.06 he has a hand written sign that says something like "Yes this means no CHL. I will have you prosecuted."

Wow, just googled on his store and here was a review on Yellow Pages confirming my comment (I didn't write it!):

"Worst experience, worst customer service, horible owner with no people skills. Murle is mean, rude and unprofessional, he treats his customers like crap and threatens them when questioned. His specialty is surfing the internet and writing fake reviews for him self. Normally they are short and sweet, saying how great he is and how much they respect him for his way of doing business. Do NOT fall for this propaganda... murle... your not fooling anyone. For those who do venture in, DO NOT bring children... he is a dangerous unstable man. DO NOT ask questions and for God's sake, do not carry if you have a CHL... he will call the police and take your gun. HE IS CRAZY. "

Sounds like a man to be avoided and left alone.

Not the best review for business man of the year award.
