You know, friendly female instructors might be marketable to both genders.

Chandler's gun shop and range (woman owned) has women only classes, but it is in Valley Mills, TX. But Alice is a nice lady, and it is an excellent facilty.

Glock27, IIRC, you're in the DFW area? If so, you might try Crossfire. I took her class a year or two ago for a renewal and they are great! Back then they did their classes out at Cabela's in Fort Worth, so I don't know if that would be worth the drive for your SO.

As said above it would be well worth it for you to drive over to Cabelas. Crossfire is one of our Moderators. Her and her husband are both comforting for women, excellent teaching, wants everyone to learn, and just great people.

My wife would not go anywhere else.

If you live south of DFW at all, Hill College now offers a CHL class through our professional and continuing education program. FWIW, the instructor for my CHL class was male but I was the only male student and the other three were women. I don't remember there being anything in the curriculum that would have been biased towards or against either gender. I'm not sure who teaches the class on the Hillsboro campus, as I took it in Cleburne.

Another +1 for a Crossfire at Cabela's in Fort Worth. Realize it's a hike for y'all, but my wife and mother both attended this class and loved it. Wife was pregnant at the time and they were very good about working around it, letting her come back and shoot after my daughter was born.
Success always occurs in private, and failure in full view.
