The next day (Thursday, 27 Feb) I received a msg from TX DPS Regulatory Svcs Div saying they'd received my materials and would forward them to a CHL specialist. The status on the Texas.Gov web page then changed (on Friday) to: License Status: Application processed online. Concealed Handgun Licensing is waiting on the receipt of required materials. Once the application and materials have been received by Concealed Handgun Licensing and processing has begun, a more detailed status will appear on this page.

As of today that hasn't changed. It's now 07 March (nine days later) and the web site still says it's waiting for materials. I was hoping to at least see something different on the web page, but I guess I'll just have to be patient. It sounds like things are a lot better than the couple of months that it took to get my initial license five years ago.
I started mine on Feb 21 and the website still hasn't changed. I got an email the night I started (the 21st) that said they had received the attached documents.

Well, I hope yours gets to you soon! Meanwhile, I guess misery loves company. Thanks for sharing :tiphat:

I wouldn't call it misery, in my case. My current license is good for another 5 months.

My wife just got her renewed license.

Online renewal paperwork done on 2/20, and barcode emailed the same night. The website listed license mailed as of Tuesday, 3/11, and it came today. 22 days from app to license is pretty good, I think. My last renewal was before the change to online/no class required, so it took closer to 45 days, if I remember correctly.

Late last week the Texas.Gov web site updated my status to show that basically everything was okay and that fingerprints were being processed. Over the weekend some time that updated further to indicate that fingerprints had been checked and manufacture was pending. That's still the status today. So far it's been 19 days since I submitted everything. That's really pretty quick, I think.
