Carry Ammo
What exactly are the Texas ammunition laws? Are we limited as to what types of ammo we can carry?

Re: Carry Ammo
More specifically, any handgun ammo is OK with the exception of armor piercing, incendiary, and exploding. So load 'em up with the hollow point or FMJ of your choice.

Armor piercing ammunition is prohibited under 46.05, but I see nothing about incendiary or exploding ammunition...MoJo wrote:More specifically, any handgun ammo is OK with the exception of armor piercing, incendiary, and exploding. So load 'em up with the hollow point or FMJ of your choice.

Re: Carry Ammo
If you have any doubts, you can always ask your local PD what their officers carry, and use those.

Re: Carry Ammo
Er, mmmmmm maybe I just assumed that about the incendiary and exploding ammo. I can see little or no use for either in handguns.
