Bar Shooting, Armed Patron High-Tails Before HPD Arrives

Forgive me if this has been posted somewhere, I couldn't find it.

Turns out 4 guys try to rob a bar called EJ's Place here in Houston. An armed patron ended up shooting the two who were actually in the bar giving orders, and those 2 died right after being shot. The two who were at the door got away. Interesting thing is that the armed patron took off before HPD arrived, so cops are looking for all 3. A little research shows that the bar is 51%, so CHL or not, the guy committed a felony by packing while at the bar. I applaud the guy for protecting the other people in the establishment, and can't say I blame him for leaving before HPD showed up. Sgt. Spurgeon (2nd/3rd article) "so were still trying to determine who he is and why he left the scene," obviously doesn't know the law very well either...
In the third article, someone speaks like they know the patron, as they say he walks the female bartenders to their cars after close, I hope that person doesn't "rat out" the patron either.

And all the more reason to get the off-limit areas for CHLs dropped with some legislation next year (if it would apply to 51%).

I heard this on the radio this morning, minus the fact that the patron high-tailed it out of there.
No indication of if he's CHL or not.
They're probably going to put the screws to him, even though he stopped a crime... Just hope it gets to a jury.
