Years ago, I attempted to go to the T/O Fair. IIRC, entrance to the T/O Fair is gained through The MPEC. The MPEC is owned by and situated on city property. The doors of the MPEC were 30.06 posted. I've not returned.

Thanks for replying . Guess I'll leave it in the truck then , funny how after carrying so long it makes you feel odd not being armed .

If it is city property they cannot post a 30.06. When you go, if they have a sign suggest taking a picture and follow Chas.' procedure for turning them in.

Sign on city property is not enforceable unless it's an otherwise prohibited location.
Keep calm and carry.

:iagree:

It doesn't take long to get used to the extra weight and security. I went unarmed into a grocery store that's pretty well hated in here and realized my belt doesn't fit right anymore without a holster behind it.

Two years ago a friend of mine carried into the state fair. He said that he went in the main gate by the Music Hall. After entering he told an officer that he was licensed and was carrying. They had him go to the officer who was in the elevated chair who then came down and looked at his license and checked his gun. They then said ok and off he went.

You might check their website to see if they have instructions. He thinks that there is where he got the information.

I just checked their website.
Go to General Info
FAQ's
allowed items

It says that CHL carried guns are allowed, except at sporting events.

Sorry, I misread the title of the post as the Texas State Fair.
