Are you:
1) Carrying in something other than a belt or shoulder holster?
2) Carrying in a place where concealed carry is legal but open carry is not (in a place posted 30.07 but not 30.06, or at a college or university after 8/1/16?)
If not, then no, it does not matter, legally.

Printing doesn't really matter now, so it also won't matter next year.
If the gun is directly visible, then it is open carry.
There is always a lot of questioning these topics, but it's actually very black and white.
