My first Open Carry experience...

Let me tell you, it was a great feeling to be able to open carry! It was similar to the first time I carried concealed. I was very cognizant of my firearm and of everyone else around me. I think I even 'walked' different.

I was careful to check the signage on the doors of The Stripes gas station in San Angelo that I went to yesterday, and on the doors of Pioneer Restaurant in Arlington, this morning. For the former, I wore my M&P shield and for the latter, I wore my STI 1911. I got to say that I was nervous about open carrying. It is great to have the FREEDOM to choose how I carry my firearm!

It's nice to be able to tuck in your shirt like a grownup that's for sure.

At the local whataburger. No signs of any kind so uncover and went in. No customers either. :smilelol5:

That's good to know. No signs at my Whataburger either. I think their whole "no open carry" thing was aimed specifically at a certain group with fedora hats and AK47s, not handguns. Hope it stays that way.

Great news, and like mentioned above, it's nice to be able to dress up with shirt tucked in and carry in comfort.

Sounds like you just need a new holster... I tuck my shirt in all the time. :headscratch
