On my way back from RDU last week I had just come through the metal detector to find an older guy (younger senior citizen?) getting wanded, by a female TSA agent. For wanding, that's not unusual.

TSA agent tells the guy "I need to check your waistband".... and the guy opens his belt and drops his pants to about mid-thigh before the TSA lady could stop him. "NOOOO NoOooooooooOooo.... That's not what I meant!!". The guys wife was cracking up. I bit my lip until we were clear of the area and my kid said "nice boxers on that dude".

Then I lost it.

i have had fun with TSA twice so far. lI have a pacemaker and defibrillator, and I wear shorts with suspenders, the suspenders are with metal buckles. I have been sternly instructed to remove the suspenders because they set off the wand. I politely inform them that my shorts will fall off if I do that, but they frown and become more demanding that I remove the suspenders. The place usually turns into a loud uproar when my shorts fall to my ankles (I do wear undershorts though).
For full effect, I just stand there waiting what seems the longest time while the TSA lady recomposes herself and finally realizes that I am waiting for her next command - - to pull my shorts back up.

This discussion reminds me of an old Groucho Marx joke:

"This morning I shot an elephant in my pajamas.
What he was doing in my pajamas I'll never know."
