There's no 22 on the shelves but I can usually find a box or two of .270 or .308 or .30-06.

What are you guys using on squirrels these days? :biggrinjester:

That might make pick up a bit harder, probably hard to mop up what's left in the woods, lol

I got some 22 you can have if you are in The Houston area. Enough to put some squirrels in the pot.

You know I have not put this in perspective , squirrels are getting a break right now I guess ! Try a good air rifle , some shoot as good as a 22 , we have a Beeman , shoots 1000fps , 177 (BB's) or pellets , no end to the type you can buy , hunting - target . Cheap to shoot , also kind of fun . You can pick one up with case , scope (scope is not bad ) interchangable barrels with everything you need for around $150.00 .

DANG! Glad you posted , I didnt know that ! They probably are reffering to a regular bb gun witch has no knock down capability ( around 250 fps) but probably all air rifles are lumped into the same restriction . Again thanks They are still fun to shoot though !

Do like our Founding Fathers did when they were taking the round ball muskets to the woods for squirrels. .36-54 cal. then would not leave much meat either. What did they do???
"Bark-em". A real :nono: today but I have actually done it a few times when I was young.
Those early marksmen astound me w/ their shooting abilities. That was tough shooting. Mighty expensive today too.
Any of you young hunters know how???

Answer later. ;-) :fire

You hit a squirrel with a .308, and you better hope there's nothing beyond the target for about 3 or 4 miles.

I don't even think the bullet will slow down.

Scattergun? Most squirrel hunters in the Big Thicket use 12 or 20 gage with #6 shot. :tiphat:
