Tennessee Rut Underway 9 Nov 2013

Seasoned opened on Nov 3rd for black powder. The Rut was just getting started so we had great timing with bucks running pretty good in the middle Tennessee area. This 9 Point was taken at 190 yards with a .50 Cal Knight Disc Elite using a 300Gr Hornady bullet with 3 pellets of White Hot powder.
Hanging weight 132 pounds...cooking a pot of deer meat chili right now!

The day I left Texas for this hunt I had nice wide racked "legal buck" eating acorns near my chicken coop. Haven't seen him since I've been back but will try to bag him. Hopefully this cold snap will get the Texas Rut going.
