Two rifle shot pigs

This is from a day lease not too far out of Centerville in East Texas. Good people. Fun hunt. It was this hunt that finally got me to drop a new trigger in my Weatherby Vanguard. I'm on the left. The pig in front of me was just short of 150lbs

Took this guy off my lease in southern Nacogdoches county. I guessed him to be around 100lbs but may be a little high. Love the new trigger. Went from around 6-7lb pull to about 3lb.

Excellent!

How far were your shots?

Brand/Caliber of your rifle, which looks similar to your friends.

All the way from the muzzle to the pig.

He said it was a Weatherby Vanguard.

That is actually my older brother. He looks like my dad's side, and I take after mom's.

Those are identical rifles. Weatherby Vanguard 30.06. The first one was probably 60 yards, the second was a little over 80 yards. I had to wait on the sun to come up on the second. I knew he was there, but couldn't see him in the scope. I was just hoping he had enough corn to keep him interested.
