The Rudy's here in Houston sells breakfast tacos and BBQ if you want bbq that early. Coffee and breakfast is reasonably priced.

Congrats on pulling this together! The way we usually figure it out is that everyone new just looks for the guy wearing a bright orange Tennessee Volunteers hat (me). Of course, I understand why that may not work out in your case. As a secondary identifying measure, we almost always sit in the same place - right next to the condiment station.
Your best option for personal security is a lifelong commitment to avoidance, deterrence, and de-escalation.
When those fail, aim for center mass.
