It was a fuel tank explosion, not a missile.

Like that TWA flight?

This says rumored bomb.

Somebody filmed it going down. Looks like a catastrophic failure.

LOL, I saw one video that appeared to have a plume of smoke- Updated article: Wagner Decries 'Murder' Of Prigozhin Amid Reports Anti-Air Missile Struck Plane
A post by Grey Zone, a Wagner-connected social media channel, claimed Russian anti-aircraft defences had shot down the plane. It said that residents heard “two bursts of characteristic air defense fire” before the crash. “This is confirmed by inversion traces in the sky in one of the videos,” it added. Mash, a news outlet on social media app Telegram, said locals had heard two loud bangs before the crash.

The Associated Press has a few articles that contradict that, that say it was Prigozhin, his #2 at Wagner, and his personal bodyguards on the plane:

Not sayin' either source is indisputable, but I'm not giving the Daily Mail's "expert" a lot of faith.

Russia moon mission failed. Russian scientist tells the world.

3 weeks later he eats some bad mushrooms and dies.

Daily Mail says Wagner guy is still alive and they are showing recent video of him.

Heh. Us RC guys have been flying foamboard planes like that for a long time, I have a couple of kits sitting at home right now.

Unfortunately things like this just put our hobby more into the spotlight after almost 100 years of self-policing :???:

I learned to fly RC airplanes while guarding missiles in Germany and recognized this possible use back then. I also recognized how easily they could cross our border carrying packages, with planes like the senior telemaster being reusable if it were done right. And with this capability and that price, they could cross our border carrying non-explosive packages (drugs) that could easily be recovered. At a range of 37 miles from either side of the border, the most dangerous part of smuggling (the border crossing) is erased. And we would have as much trouble stopping them as Russia is the Ukraine's.

Unfortunately, the FAA is out to kill the RC hobby anyway, because of a few idiots who do not self-police and were flying near airports and commercial flights.

Fixed that for you. They could have easily handled the problem individuals without killing the entire market the way they have (with VERY little actual legislation to support their actions).

Pence wants US troops
While I agree with the statement "You achieve peace through strength," ... in this case the Europeans have a long track record of expecting us to provide and pay for their defense. It is absurd to have the US taxpayers continue to bail them out:

Majority of NATO Nations Fail to Spend 2 Percent GDP Guideline for Defense
the report shows that the U.S. still accounted for just over half of the alliance's GDP spending and 69 percent of total defense expenditures in 2021.

Russia apparently say Sec of Defense injured when they bombed Kiev and that’s the reason for him being missing and then in the hospital.

Interesting different take on the news.

Naw I’m not buying it. No other sources beside 4chan.
