There's a picture of the robot deer. It looks pretty realistic.

Catching the morons who shoot at these decoys is so easy, it almost seems unfair.

I'm not sure if it was Arkansas, but in previous years
there have been incidences of the same shooter being
arrested twice within short periods of time
for shooting at the same fake deer!!

I have seen mention of this stuff being used in Texas. The show I saw showed people pulling over on the side of a road to shoot at a deer on the other side of the a small field.

Honestly, I just can't understand what motivates someone to pull over on the side of the road and try to poach a deer on someone's land. It just seems to me to be the height of stupidity.

Speaking of which, whatever became of the young CHL in a Hummer who poached a deer or two from his Hummer in either Austin or a suburb a couple of months ago? The betting was that his Daddy's money would get him off the hook.

They were using these in Missouri about 15 years ago. They had the moving heads and all. They got a TON of people shooting at them by pulling off the road.

One of the local television stations in my area went along with the game wardens one evening and they got about 5 or 6 different people stopping and shooting. Every one of them gave interviews to the reporter. Kinda reminded me of episodes of Jerry Springer where the people where so dumb they thought they were now celebrities 'cuz thay wuz on telebision!'

This reminds me of a true story about a group of drunk duck hunters who sneaked up and starting blasting their own decoys and couldn't figure out why the ducks weren't flying away. :smilelol5:

So what do they do if someone approaches from the woods and takes a legal shot?
