EDC Knives
I have several everyday carry knives, actually i usually carry two, one strong side, usually an Emerson with the "Wave" feature, and a self assist on my left side/pocket, usually a SOG.
My thoughts on carrying a self-assist in my left pocket are in case my right hand is holding my pistol I can still deploy a knife if needed. Much in the same way I have access to my flashlight on my left side.
Any other ideas out there?

I've had my eye on a fixed blade as of late. I like the idea from the utility standpoint of saving time without fumbling to open and close the blade every time I need to use it (which is sometimes quite often), plus with your weak hand it would be very easy to grab.
This is one that I've been watching: Gerber Fixed Blade

The spirit of resistance to government is so valuable on certain occasions, that I wish it to be always kept alive. It will often be exercised when wrong, but better so than not to be exercised at all. I like a little rebellion now and then. It is like a storm in the atmosphere. -Thomas Jefferson

I carry two. One on each side. Both assisted opening.
The Gerber gets daily use in my job and I don't mind it getting beat up. I consider it a tool.
The other is a very nice Kershaw with a razor sharp blade that I try to keep pristine
and serves as my SD knife if all else fails.

Went to buy one of those and wound up with a CRKT M16-14D instead. Really like the size and feel.cougartex wrote:I carry a Kershaw Storm II on sale now at Cabelas.

Four inch Cold Steel Ti Lite. That six inch is looking bad to the bone, however.

I got a few of those CRKT M16 knifes myself. I pretty much keep to a rotation, an Emerson for SD, and whatever i feel like for daily use. My job has me using a knife all day long, mostly box opening.jmra wrote:Went to buy one of those and wound up with a CRKT M16-14D instead. Anyone else use an Emerson Wave knife? I know Spyderco has a few out there with his design.

Re: EDC Knives
I've carried this assisted-opening Kershaw Blur w/tanto blade for almost two years it's still in perfect condition, and I love it. Plus it matches my gun.
