Congrats on your new friend, my daughter does dog training and works with a couple of
rescue places and has kept a few she has rescued.

Thanks for stepping up! That's one fine looking dog. Looks like any possible combination of BC/Aussie/Sheltie, and definitely has the bright eyes and mischievous grin of the first two!

Our last rescue (a wandering Great Pyrenees girl pup, about 8 months old when I found her four months ago) moved right in with our other five (four of them rescues, one from the death chamber). And now our son and daughter-in-law, who are about to deploy, are bringing their Australian Shepherd rescue (male, about 18 months old) to stay with his "grandparents" while they're overseas.

Holy moly. Our agreed-upon limit was "three permanent, two fosters", and now we're going to have 7. Thank goodness for a big back yard (over half an acre). And thank goodness that those two energetic working pups are going to wear each other out playing.
