Yep, we are watching it flood right now....



Actually, it's not quite flooding, but the estuaries between the mainland and Galveston are definitely showing signs of higher than normal water levels.

The only plus to this one, is that I heard it should not reach Hurricane Strength before reaching landfall.
Does that mean it is a "good storm", by no means, but could be much worse, where ever it lands

The big issue is if it goes south or west of the oil slick, then the counter-clockwise circulation will push the oil toward land. If it had tracked east of the spill, then it would have pushed it back out into the gulf.

The 4:00 forecast is looking better for us....bad for New Orlean, bad for the oil spill. Fortunately not much strengthening is anticipated due to shearing. Pray for the best, prepare for the worst!
