While this is a FABULOUS story, and if our world had more swift "justice" like this it would be a friendlier place, please look at the link below and don't kill the messenger. The first time I read the article I was like "YEAH!!" and then I found out the truth...

I made a run onetime where a strapping South Dallas citizen tried to rob an aged marine in his home. Bottom line is when we arrived this cat was on the ground with his face pummeled being held at gun point (1911). As we were treating him he kept complaining that the man had a gun and I said, "Lucky you weren't shot then, huh?" He repeated the complaint to the sergeant that was on scene and HE said, "Lucky you weren't shot then, huh?"

The home owner was 80 something and all of 140#. I wonder what happened to his street cred in jail when he had to fess up to being whipped by a 140# octogenarian.
