Gexa Energy Pavilion

Post by Kythas »

I did a search for this but couldn't find anything. If it's been answered, please point me to the thread.

Anyone know if Gexa Energy Pavilion is 30.06 posted (or is it owned by City/County of Dallas)? Can you bring in coolers and lawn chairs? I found a place on the web saying coolers and lawn chairs were prohibited, but some of the comments had people saying they were allowed to bring in coolers as long as they had no glass bottles. Does anyone here have any first hand experience with this?

My wife was just there this weekend. She didn't think to look for signs, but she said that there were no metal detectors that she saw. They did search bags though.

I would love to know as well. I will vbe going in October. I do know you can carry in side fair park, b/c it is city owned, and i would think that goes for the Gexa Energy Pavilion.

FWIW, I was there last Friday night for a concert. There were no searches other than purses/handbags, we were allowed to bring in a blanket for the grass seating, there is a lawn chair rental place there, and I didn't see any 30.06 signs.

There were no 30.06 signs that I saw and I carried there. It would be nice to be able to bring your own chairs, at least, but you can't do that.

Checking for an update on this venue instead of opening a new thread. I am planing to go see Depeche Mode this coming Friday and was wondering if there is any new restrictions as to CHL?

I was there tonight. No problems. Their "security" inspects bags, blankets, etc., but no metal detectors - not that it would matter legally. They did look for pocket knives, so make sure to put it in your pocket as opposed to clipped on your belt.

Anyone have any experience with Gexa Energy's electrical service...sure looks affordable! Is it worth it to switch from TXU or Reliant?
