Was in Golden Chick a few days ago. There were a couple of college girls in there.
I am not kidding. My wife is a witness.
These two girls began EVERY sentence with "Like," and within every sentence they said "like" at least two or three times.
My wife and I would look at each other while the girls talked. It's all we could do to not start laughing. We then began, very quietly, saying "like" to each other every time one of the girls would say it.

"Do I know you?" or any question that can only truly be answered by the person asking. Unless you got amnesia you should know the answer.

:iagree:
I posted this a while back on this thread. When someone calls my phone and asks that I immediately hang up and won't answer calls from that number. That really annoys me.

Well, when they call and ask, just reply in your best, gruff Batman voice:

"Your worst nightmare!"

Too many abbreviations and internet lingo: roflmao, no u 2; that is 2 p.c. would rather carry iwb not owb but want DA not SA and by the way let's argue over c1 vs. c3....and on...and on...and on....

"I myself"

If you start a sentence with "I" isn't that adequate?

You wouldn't say, "I yourself" now would you?

jamminbutter,

Any guess as to why such a person says "We just..." or "Just...".

I don't understand their meaning.

Do you?

Thanks!

Abraham wrote:"Give It Up For" - This particular vulgarism is stated when the M.C. or a comedian entreats the audience for applause for the upcoming speaker, comedian, singer, etc.

I cringe every time I hear someone utter this bit of raunchiness.
Give it up for Abraham... :evil2:

Socialize!!! And any other noun someone "verbizes" by adding the suffix "ize." Curse you Thomas Nashe and all your ilk.

"True Facts"

If it's a fact, you don't need the word "True".

Much like: "Free Gift"

If it's a gift of course it's free...
