This obviously is a political move, and not any attempt to bring criminals to justice.
Everything this administration does is politically motivated.

Why did it take so long? Two possibilities......the BO administration is smart and they held this guy as a potential distraction to divert attention from the next political scandal, or they're not so smart, and just now looking for a distraction they said, hey, why don't we grab that guy who's been giving media interviews and had something to do with Benghazi.
