"America" the movie
Just got back from seeing the movie America. I was told not to get upset by the first few minutes of the film. It did start out "bashing" the United States but that was only to set the scene for his defense of this great Country. People actually applauded when the movie was over.

Here, I added my own editorial color . . .
AMC signs are not valid 30.06 signs. They are too small.TVGuy wrote:It is a brand of theaters that is not 2A friendly and all are posted with a poor imitation of a 30.06.

I may go to one movie a year and it's almost always at a fancy dinner and movie place with the wife. You are correct, but the intent of the company is clear and I still wouldn't spend my money there regardless of whether the sign is enforceable.Jumping Frog wrote:Here, I added my own editorial color . . .

Im not going put myself in jeopardy of having to spend a lot of money to defend myself in court. If the joint doesnt welcome "my kind" I will move on.
When I find that my rights are not respected, I politely let management know the reason they will not see my money.
Recently Time Warner asked me to pick up a modem at their office. I explained that I couldnt because they had a 30.06. They agreed to overnight one....and it was the wrong one! They again asked me to go to the office to exchange and I again explained why I couldnt.
They ended up sending a technician out. I made sure they understood that though it was chump change for such a large corporation, it still cost them.
It's important to communicate to the management of these businesses that they rejected our money.
