Louis Zamperini, Olympian and WWII hero who survived the crash of his bomber and 47 days adrift in the Pacific only to be captured and become a POW of the Japanese died July 2, 2014 at the age of 97. He is the subject of an inspiring book titled "Unbroken" which is being made into a movie. I meant to post this the day Louis Zamperini died but somehow let it slip. Another of the greatest in the Greatest Generation leaves us.
