Dumb statement
Organizers there said the show of force served as a reminder of the right to bear arms to protect themselves from criminals and from police.

In general, I'm a skeptic, but I don't think for a moment I'm armed to keep myself safe from law enforcement.

Are there instances of egregious behavior by L.E.?

Yes.

Compare those instances to criminals.

Now, which group is more likely to cause harm?

Of course, I'm basing my comparisons of being a law abiding citizen.

Were I a criminal, my perspective would of course be different...

Criminals are happy to see that protesters are now asking for the Police to use less lethal force and paint the Police as brutal and oppressor. I never lived in black hood, however, in a free country, if you do not like your neighborhood, move out and seek a better place to live in. All what what I see are side effect of social (family failure) and economic failure (stuck in a cycle of poverty) that pushes the young to justify and seek crime as a lifestyle.
