Absolutely. Always negotiate. I hear hospitals and docs settle for significant discounts. Seldom do I here they settle for $.10 or less on the dollar. That's usually in emergency situations. It's hard to get proper cancer treatment without coverage.

Just in case misery really does love company, I just open our notice of increase. It was a mere 30% increase to $990 per month for a family of four with a $5,000 deductible and no office copay. How's that for affordable?
